blackpatient.com required a powerful CMS lead site to showcase its regular content and dynamic tools. Aimed at the African health market, the website covers numerous Men’s, women’s and children’s health topics; such as nutrition, fitness and well being.
Managed by WordPress CMS the site uses custom php code to display a multitude of engaging NHS API feeds and tools. The admin section has also been enhanced so that each tool can be easily selected and embedded within new blog posts. Whilst some of the tools are simple iframe embeds, the Health A-Z and Symptom Checker, pull data directly from NHS Direct API feeds.

The NHS direct articles are reused in for the Symptom Checker tool, which uses two body image maps to as an interactive way to navigate between symptoms and medical conditions, and treatments. Visitors can select a body part on the male or female client map or use the whole body area (Blood, Nerves, Bones, Muscles, Circulations, Skin, Hair, Joints) to find relevant treatment information.
