Measured Designs are pleased to announce the launch of a new pharmaceutical website for Epping (Essex, UK) based client ADAllen Pharma.
ADAllen Pharma source comparator drugs for international clinical trials as part of the pharma supply chain process. They already had a basic website, but as the pages were static they weren’t able to effectively manage their content or create new pages. The site also had no blog functionality, an outdated design with Flash content (which doesn’t display on iphones/ ipads) and wasn’t responsive.
Site Redesign Process
To kick off the site redesign process, we met the client at their premises to get a better understanding of their business and online needs. Getting a full tour of the offices, warehouses and meeting the staff, is central to understanding the brand and the role the finished site will serve.
Service Pages
We analysed the current site, looking at what had worked well and where they sought improvement. ADAllen Pharma were keen to promote their core services and for prospective customers to easily contact the team. A more comprehensive site structure was then envisioned with prominent service pages, great for SEO, with clear CTAs (Calls To Action). The service pages describe the service’s features and key points, show related articles and links to talk to a team member about the service. Links to these pages are central to the main navigation, homepage and footer section.
Homepage
The homepage has a clear elevator pitch; to relay the site’s aims and purpose, a featured news section; so the client can pin content to the top of the homepage, and recent news and Twitter feeds; so the site is fresh and up to date.
Contact Us
The Contact Us form was vastly improved, with the additional of a pre-defined ‘Area of interest’ subject area and required fields to help improve the quality of enquiries. Measures were also taken to prevent spam.
WordPress CMS
The website is driven by a WordPress CMS, allowing ADAllen Pharma the ability to add and update their own content. The site even has advanced meta blocks to allow for the cms control of even complex layouts, such as the service pages.
ADAllen Pharma are very happy with their new site. Once the redesigned site has been live for a month or two, we’ll update you on search ranking improvements.
